Cowboy Buddha Band - 4 Song Debut 12" EP Toronto based Cowboy Buddha Band have a new four song debut ep which highlights their unique folk-world-rock sound which would be perfectly in place at a lot of the major folk music festivals not only in Canada but in the U.S. and in Europe as well. Featuring the laid back, retro feeling vocals of transplanted New Zealander John Bridgins (songwriter, guitar), along with multi-instrumentalist Jeremy Edwardes (harmonicas, clarinets and hulusi), Andrew Frost (bass, guitar, pedal steel) and Amanda Jean (harmony vocals), the Cowboy Buddha Band ep offers sublime songs. The first track, "Glass Bottom Boat" immediately provides the listener with aural tranquility and peace of mind, leading the way to the more upbeat but still sedate "If I Ever (Make It To Heaven).
Side B kicks off with "Overseas" before finishing with "January Morning" which has some sweet vocal harmonies and beautiful pedal steel runs. Produced by Chris Birkett (Buffy Saint Marie’s Power In The Blood) this ep is just a starting point for a band about to embark on the magic of touring and bringing their music live to the masses. The world needs creative, spiritual music such as this now more than ever, and this band brings it, thank Buddha.
